Dear SPE Turkey Seciton Members and Collagues,
2020 SPE Turkey Student Paper Contest will be organized at METU Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department on November 18-20, 2020 as part of Turkey IV. Scientific and Technical Petroleum Congress.
Paper Contest will have two separate sections as undergraduate and graduate. Any section which have less than 3 participants will be cancelled. Maximum 10 students will be allowed to participate to student contest due to limited time. Preselection process based on abstracts will be followed by Jury members in case that number of applications are more than 10 for two sections.
Presentations must be related with Petroleum, Natural Gas and Geothermal Engineering and prepared in Turkish or English. Any study previously presented in SPE event or published in a journal shall not be submitted for this Paper Contest.
Current students and the ones graduated after 2018 SPE Turkey Paper Contest can attend competition. Students who wants to attend paper contest should submit their abstracts via email to info@speturkey.org until 31 October 2020.
Presentations will be on an online platform. Students can present their studies either in English or Turkish. Presentation time will be 15 min and 5 min will be given for Question/Answer session.
Students ranked as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be rewarded with monetary award as follows:
1st Place Appreciation: 1000 TL
2nd Place Appreciation: 750 TL
3rd Place Appreciation: 500 TL
